Cordage Institute & Eurocord’s 5th Joint Conference
The 5th Joint Conference of the Cordage Institute and Eurocord was held on June 12-15, 2022 at the Hilton Vienna Plaza in Vienna, Austria. The full conference program included a Technical Seminar, Business and Industry Meeting, Technical Committee Meetings, and plenty of networking opportunities.
The Business and Industry Meeting included new Cordage Institute member presentations from Wilhelmsen/Timm Ropes and Gulf Rope and Plastic Products, and lively presentations and discussions on new geopolitics and their impacts, and disruptive supply chains.
The busy program for the Technical Seminar included the following presentations:

On Monday, attendees were treated to a lovely off-site dinner featuring traditional Viennese cuisine at Heurigen Schreiberhaus in the midst of a romantic vineyard on the outskirts of Vienna.
The following night, Eurocord and the Cordage Institute hosted a Gala Dinner & Concert at Palais Ferstel, an opulent structure with a stunning ballroom filled with dazzling chandeliers. During dinner, KK-Strings performed classical music, followed by a comedic musical performance to end the evening.
